The Sprint Invaders Benevolent Society is the charitable and fund raising arm of the Sprint Invaders Association. It was established by the SIA Board of Directors to provide funds to support Safety and Education, Scholarships and a Driver Benevolent Fund to assist racers in times of need.
The Board of Directors of SIBS is appointed by the SIA Board to develop and guide programs to fulfill these directives.
In 2008 the Honoraria Program was established as a means to formally recognize and publically acknowledge donations in memory and in honor of loved ones, friends, occasions, etc.
The Program encompasses the use of a 3 section board that will be on display at public events including races, meetings, car shows, etc. The boards have two sizes of plaques available for recognition. The small plaque area is 2¾” by 4” and the large plaque area is 6¼” by 8¾”.
Donations in the amount of $50 through $299 are recognized by the small plaque. Those donations $300 and up are recognized on the large plaque.
The lower section of the center board is designed to list the names of donors and the designated fund. No dollar amounts are included. This section will be updated for each event.
Donations to SIBS are tax deductible. Donors may restrict their contributions to either the Scholarship fund, Safety & Education Fund, Jr. Vader's Program or Driver Benvolent Fund.
Unrestricted donations will be allocated by the Board of Directors to the area of greatest need.
