Big Iowa Doubleheader Awaits Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders This Weekend!
(Bill W) May 25, 2010 – The Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders have a busy Memorial Day weekend in store, with two events scheduled for eastern Iowa. On Friday, May 28, they will put their show on at the CJ Speedway in Columbus Junction, and on Saturday they will head down to the 34 Raceway in West Burlington for its FREE-4-ALL. The night at 34 Raceway is a must see event, that will include FREE admission for the fans! That means an adult can attend two Sprint Invaders shows this weekend for just $10!
Jerrod Hull leads the current Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders Point standings on the strength of winning the first two events. “Flyin’” Ryan Jamison and Jim Moughan Jr. aren’t far behind heading into this weekend.
Joey Moughan will try to strike at CJ Speedway again. Last year, he won his first career feature event at the 4/10 mile oval. Jesse Giannetto leads all winners at CJ with his three wins in 2005. Other drivers to score at CJ include Hull, Kerry Madsen, Bobby Hawks, Nick Eastin, John Schulz and Matt Rogerson.
Hull won the season opener at 34 Raceway, and has retaken the all-time feature wins mark from “Showtime” Kaley Gharst, and now has fourteen on his resume. Rogerson heads the all-time list of Sprint Invaders winners at the 3/8 mile oval with five. Hull has four and “Lil’ Dude” Bobby Mincer has three. Drivers with two wins include John Schulz, “The Hitman” Mike Houseman Jr. and Gharst. Hawks, Terry McCarl, Mike Reinke, Randy Plath, Jeff Mitrisin, Matt Sutton, Brian Brown and Donnie Steward have also visited Victory Lane at 34.
Friday at CJ Speedway, tickets are just $10 for adults, $9 for seniors and $8 for students. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m., with hot laps scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and racing to follow.
At 34 Raceway grandstands will open at 5 p.m., with hot laps at 6:30! Remember, admission is FREE at the FREE-4-ALL, with pit passes only costing $12!
