“Night of the Twins” Awaits Brockway Mechanical & Roofing Sprint Invaders Saturday!
(Bill W) August 13, 2012 – It’s time for the annual “Night of the Twins” at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa this Saturday night! The Brockway Mechanical & Roofing Sprint Invaders will be on hand to take on all comers at the 3/8-mile oval!
The Sprint Invaders season has been a competitive one! There has not yet been a repeat winner! Heading into 34 Raceway, “Flyin’” Ryan Jamison, who picked up the series’ last feature victory at the Cedar County Raceway in Tipton, Iowa, leads the point race. Bobby Mincer is second in points, followed by Russ Hall, Justin Parrish and Tony Shilling.
Earlier this season, double features were run due to a rainout in West Burlington. Josh Higday and Josh Schneiderman picked up their first wins at the facility with the series. Matt Rogerson leads the all-time winners’ list with five, followed by Jerrod Hull with four, and Kaley Gharst and Matt Sutton with three apiece.
Pits open at 4 p.m. on Saturday, with grandstands opening at 5 p.m. Hot laps are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Adult tickets are just $15, with Seniors admitted for $13. Kids 10 and under are FREE! For more information, visit www.34Raceway.com!
Season Championship to be Held at 34 Raceway
The Season Championship for the Brockway Mechanical & Roofing Sprint Invaders has been moved to the 34 Raceway. Due to an agreement between the Lee County Speedway, the 34 Raceway and the Sprint Invaders Board of Directors, the event will be held in West Burlington on Saturday, September 29.
