Knoxville, IA (May 31, 2016)-What a weekend for Jon Agan and team. It began at Knoxville Raceway on Saturday where they decided to swap out the 360 for the 410 and run with the National Sprint League. The weekend ended at 34 Raceway with the Sprint Invaders.

Saturday’s National Sprint League event at Knoxville was very trying for the team. Jon started 8th and finished 8th in the heat race. The B main did not go as planned on a rough start, which ended the team’s night. A lot was learned and taken away from the night despite the trials.

Sunday brought the fourth Sprint Invaders race of the season at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa where there were twenty five cars. The draw format put Jon outside the front row of the first heat race. Winning the heat race gave Jon a spot in the dash. He was able to lead every lap of the 6 lap Shake Up Dash and drew a one for the redraw which landed him the pole position for the feature.

The twenty five lap feature had three red flags. Despite several restarts, Jon was able to hold off the field and dominate all twenty five laps and claim his first win of the season and sweep the evening.

“The guys work really hard and keep their heads up. This is exactly what we needed,” Agan said in his post race interview.

Up Next: June 10th and 11th at Knoxville Raceway.
